Highland Abkhazia is one of the best places for Heliskiing in the Caucasus: a huge territory, varied terrain, great snow! Here you will find everything – from wide endless fields to excellent tree skiing or steep couloirs. Finally you will explore the amazing untouched nature of Western Caucasus!
What awaits you?
The helipad is located in Abkhazia, a 10-minute drive from the Russian border in the Abaata Hotel. The transfer from Krasnaya Polyana to the helipad takes approximately 1 hour. From the Olympic Park 30 minutes.
Height differences: 500m – 1000m in one descent
Ski area: landings up to 3000m, alpine and forest terrain
We will fly a modern mountain helicopter Eurocopter AS350 B3e.

We highly recommend you to stay at the Abaata Hotel the night before skiing! This will allow us to fly to the mountains earlier, which is important, because in the mountains of Abkhazia the weather may go bad by noon, due to the proximity of the Black Sea. The hotel is very comfortable, there is a park on the territory, a heated pool, a bathhouse, a beach and a restaurant with European and national cuisine.
The average vertical drop on the program for one descent is about 700m. We usually land at an altitude of 2200-2700, takes off at 1300-1800 meters.
Passing the border usually takes 30-40 minutes. Foreigners, depending on their citizenship, may need a dual or multi-visa of Russian Federation, as well as a visa to Abkhazia (issued upon entry). Please contact us in advance to prepare all the necessary documents.

The 4* hotel "Abaata" is located in the historical center of the city of Gagra on the territory of the fortress of the same name. The buildings of the hotel were built by order of the Prince of Oldenburg at the beginning of the twentieth century and are now completely restored.

The helipad is located right on the territory of the base: we will allocate time as efficiently as possible.

How do I book a seat?
To reserve a place in the group, you have to pay 50% of the price of the program. The rest of the amount is paid no later than three months before the start of the program.

In case the group does not use up the flight time
If the group has not used up flight time due to non-flying weather, we make a refund at the rate of 180.000 RUR for 1 flight hour per group. Billing per minute. Such a refund is not possible at the early termination of the program on the initiative of the client.
In what cases is a refund made?
We guarantee a 100% refund or transfer of the program to other dates in case of force majeure. These include natural disasters, civil unrest, epidemics, decisions of public authorities that make it impossible to carry out our program.
No penalty is provided if the participant who abandoned the program found a replacement.

In which cases a refund is not made?
Refunds are not made due to the inability to ride for the following reasons:
— illness or injury received both before and during the program;
— inability to ride due to fatigue;
— unwillingness or impossibility for the client to ride due to bad weather conditions or heavy snow conditions (provided that safe riding is possible on this day).

When activating the ABS system
When activating the ABS system outside of the avalanche threat situation, payment: 10.000 RUR.
Suspension from skating
By the decision of the guide, a participant may be suspended from skating if the level of his technical or physical fitness does not match the level of the other members of the group – the participant significantly "slows down" the group, creates a danger for himself or other members of the group. In this case, the organizing company does not make any compensation.
